The Fair Hill Guest LodgeA Country House in a Private Nature Reserve. A place to dream, a place to wander and to wonder. To experience the Greatest Six - the Ocean, the Mountain Hills & Dunes, the pristine Fynbos, the Incredible Night Sky, the spectacular Sunrise & Sunset, and above all the Space, just to be, in the cleanest air.

View of nearby BeachFair Hill is situated in the central part of the conservancy. It borders on the Walker Bay Reserve and is part of a five hundred hectare game fenced area. Some of the many attractions of this superb tourist venue are walks in the fynbos, bird watching, excursions to the beach ( 15kms of unspoilt sand and sea) and the best whale watching in the region at nearby de Kelders. A 10 minute drive takes you to Great White Shark viewing and diving at Gansbaai or Kleinbaai.

The Guesthouse is a small, well appointed establishment, owned and run by Val and Tim Deverson and has become renowned for an excellent table with friendly, caring and attentive service. With 5 en suite double rooms, all with private verandahs and spacious public rooms, guests are assured of a tranquil and comfortable stay. There is a feeling of great space and peace at Fair Hill with magnificent views of the ocean, the Klein River Mountains and the asteraceous fynbos covered hills. Ostrich and Eland were introduced into the reserve some years ago and now roam freely with the other creatures endemic to the area including ghrysbok, honeybadgers, caracal, angulate tortoises spotted genets mongooses etc.

Fair Hill has greatly contributed to the conservation of low lying dune fynbos, threatened by intensive commercial and agricultural development, and Val was instrumental in the establishment of the conservancy, and is honoured to have been appointed the founder of the conservancy trust.
